Tip#1 - Vet Your Suppliers Carefully
David largely emphasized the gravity of this issue.
"I can't tell you how often a problem arises, and when we track it back to the suppliers, we discover that things went wrong because they (the suppliers) weren't reliable."
Listen! Suppliers are an essential cog in the supply chain.
They contribute significantly at every stage of your product's lifecycle.
Therefore, it is essential to make sure that you work with trustworthy suppliers.
There are several ways to do that.
For example, you can start by making sure they have an active online presence.
Look at how long they have been in the business.
Has anyone else used them before?
And what is their customer service rating?
Such criteria will help you determine whether or not to give them a try.
Tip#2 - Review the Invoices the Supplier Provides
Amazon accepts only certain types of invoices.
If you are a seasoned seller, you would already be aware of this information, but if not, you must know.
Ensure that your supplier is able to send invoices that contain the name, date, quantity, and product description.
Otherwise, you risk obtaining an authenticity complaint.
Tip#3 - Review Your Product Feedback
Negative feedback doesn't come out of anywhere.
There's always a reason behind why consumers give your products low ratings.
So don't disregard their opinions!
David explained that when multiple buyers experience problems with your products, such as receiving them damaged, expired, or of poor quality, Amazon tracks their complaints.
And if it happens frequently enough, authenticity concerns arise.
In such cases, you may be tagged as a vendor selling used things as new or possibly have your account suspended.
Being careful is therefore better than facing censure or litigations.
Tip#4 - Check Your Listings Before Joining Them
Many times, sellers inadvertently sell a generic version of a branded product simply because it seems the same.
You must be very careful not to make this kind of mistake.
Otherwise, you will be held legally responsible for the consequences.
To be safe, make it a point to check that the goods you're selling correspond perfectly to the details of the description.
Tip#5 - Don't Ignore IP Complaints
Amazon IP complaint is the Intellectual Property complaint of a brand.
It is filed in an effort to restrict the sale of counterfeit products on Amazon.
Sometimes, sellers receive IP complaints for products that seem to be of less value, and thereby, instead of taking any action, they assume that it would be automatically removed after six months.
David said that this isn't recommended.
You must make sure that your account health is always in pristine condition.
Because if you give such complaints more time to stew, you will eventually have difficulties on your hands.
This concludes today's post.
These five lesser-known factors are the most fundamental reasons why Amazon accounts are suspended.
I am grateful to David for sharing it with me and with all of you through my YouTube channel.
I also have more similar videos where accomplished entrepreneurs share their insights to help you grow.
