In this guide, we break down Hopted, a browser extension and spreadsheet automation tool that connects Amazon Seller Central, Vendor Central, and Amazon Ads directly into Google Sheets.

If you rely on spreadsheets for listing management, inventory, ads, accounting, or sales analysis, Hopted helps you pull live data, automate updates, build reports, and eliminate manual errors.

This article follows the full walkthrough with Alex Borisenko-Markovich, the founder of Hopted, showing how the tool works step-by-step.

Alex also shared a special offer for our readers, for you!

We also have a video that shows how to use Hopted, from A to Z. Let's start!

What Is Hopted?

Hopted is a simple way to bring your live Amazon data into Google Sheets automatically. Sellers use spreadsheets for nearly everything - inventory, ads, KPIs, restocking, profitability, traffic, dimensional fees, suppressed listings, and more. Hopted pulls all this information directly from Amazon into a single spreadsheet view.

Hopted currently supports:

  • Amazon Seller Central

  • Amazon Vendor Central

  • Amazon Ads

Upcoming integrations (based on user requests):

  • Walmart

  • Shopify

Hopted is also an official, verified Amazon Ads & Seller Central integration partner listed in the Amazon App Store.

Installing the Hopted Extension

To get started, you install the browser extension:

  1. Visit hopted.com.

  2. Click Try → Chrome Web Store page opens.

  3. Install the extension on Chrome, Edge, or Atlas browser.

  4. Open Google Sheets → You’ll see a Hopted button at the top-left.

  5. Sign in with Google.

Instead of requesting full Drive access, Hopted only needs permission for the specific spreadsheet you're working on. You give editor access to the Hopted service email, and you're done.

Three Ways to Pull Amazon Data Into Google Sheets

Hopted gives you three entry points:

Solve With AI

You write your need in plain language (example: "Build a profitability tracker showing sales, buy box, and inventory"). Hopted generates a ready-to-use spreadsheet in the background and sends it to your email when the setup is complete. For new users, Hopted also asks to connect your Amazon account the first time you use AI.

Use Pre-Made Templates

Hopted provides growing gallery of templates, such as:

  • FBA fee dimension tracker

  • Restock planner

  • Business metrics dashboard

  • Suppressed listings

  • Seller performance across multiple marketplaces

Example shown in the tutorial:

A
seller performance dashboard for all marketplaces, consolidating metrics Amazon usually spreads across separate pages.

You pick a template → choose your Amazon store → Hopted generates a new tab with all metrics combined.

You can also set:

  • Conditional alerts (email or Slack)

  • Automated notifications when any KPI changes

This is useful for tracking:

  • Late shipment rate

  • Order defect rate

  • Buy box issues

  • Account health signals, and many others!

Build From Scratch (New Live Data Sync)

For custom reporting, you select:

  1. Integration type

  2. Which Amazon stores (you can connect unlimited stores)

  3. Reports & data points

  4. Optional filters

  5. Update frequency

Agencies, aggregators, and sellers with many accounts can connect multiple stores inside one Hopted account.

Example from the tutorial:

  • From Active Listings Report → SKU, price

  • From Business Reports → buy box %, sales (30-day, 14-day)

  • From Restock Inventory Report → total units available

Normally these reports live in completely separate parts of Seller Central. Hopted merges them into one live, unified data table.

Filtering Your Data

During setup, you can filter results, for example:

  • Only listings with buy box < 99%

  • Only low inventory items

  • Only SKUs missing specific attributes

This helps sellers quickly surface what needs attention.

Data Refresh Options

You choose how often Hopted refreshes the data:

  • Every 5 minutes

  • Hourly

  • Every few hours

  • Daily

Hopted updates the specific cells that changed, not the entire spreadsheet.

There is also a Last Updated timestamp column showing the most recent refresh.

The Hopted Sidebar

The sidebar is your command center. It contains:

  • Solve with AI

  • Pre-made solutions

  • Live sync builder

  • List of all your automations

  • Settings

Each sync shows:

  • The fields being pulled

  • Filters applied

  • Refresh rate

  • Connected store

Adding Calculated Columns

You can create your own metrics inside Google Sheets.
Example shown in the tutorial:

Inventory value = Total units × Price

You can build anything your business needs:

  • Sales velocity

  • Potential revenue

  • Ratio metrics

  • Performance KPIs

Hopted updates your custom formulas without overwriting them.

Using AI Inside Calculated Columns

Hopted also allows AI-driven transformations inside spreadsheets.
Example shown:

  • Bring in product titles

  • Ask AI to “categorize this title with one single-word label”

  • AI generates tags

  • Turn them into dropdown menus

This helps sellers:

  • Group products

  • Classify catalog items

  • Label variations

  • Add logic for reporting

Upcoming Feature: Spreadsheet → Amazon Edits (Q1 2026)

A major feature in beta:

Edit your product data inside Google Sheets → push changes back to Seller Central.

You’ll be able to bulk-update:

  • Prices

  • Titles

  • Many other attributes

You edit the spreadsheet → click "Submit Changes" → Amazon updates.

This rollout begins in
Q1 2026.

Hopted Pricing Overview

Hopted pricing is based on:

  • Number of automated tabs (synced tabs)

  • Refresh frequency

  • Number of writebacks (when launched)

  • Number of spreadsheet collaborators

Annual plans are discounted vs monthly.

Examples:

  • Starter → fewer synced tabs

  • Plus → more synced tabs (up to 32), faster refresh

  • Agencies often purchase extra synced tabs (20 tabs add-on for $25)

Collaborators:

  • Each plan includes 3 teammates

  • Additional collaborators cost $6 per month (or ×12 if on yearly plan)

A full free trial of Hopted is available here, it is extended for a whole month for you.

Common Questions From Sellers

Based on Hopted’s support inbox, the most frequent requests are:

  • Support for more ecommerce platforms
Sellers want Walmart, Shopify, and additional integrations.
    These are currently in development.

  • Use cases for larger teams
Agencies often want dozens of synced tabs and many collaborator seats.

  • Data ranges
Hopted can fetch custom date ranges including multi-month and multi-year lookbacks (limited by Amazon’s own historical access window, typically ~2–3 years).

Final Thoughts

Hopted is built for Amazon sellers who rely heavily on spreadsheets. Whether you're managing FBA inventory, tracking buy box performance, analyzing sales across marketplaces, or building your own dashboards, Hopted automates the data flow and keeps everything accurate.

Instead of juggling multiple Seller Central reports, Hopted brings them into one place with:

  • Live syncing

  • Custom reporting

  • AI-driven automation

  • Alerts

  • Calculated columns

  • Multi-account access

And soon - the ability to push changes back into Seller Central.
