How To Use Seller Assistant App Extension – A Must-Read
But today, we're focusing on this handy UPC and EAN to ASIN converter.
For better understanding, I invited Oleg to join us.
So, Oleg, welcome to the channel!
How are things going with you today?
Oleg: Hey Vova, thanks for having me! It's great to be here.
Vova: I'm glad you could join us, Oleg!
Thanks for taking the time to show us this cool converter tool.
Oleg: Thanks again for the invite, Vova!
So today, I'm going to walk you through using the UPC/EAN to ASIN converter.
But before we jump in, there's one quick thing to keep in mind.
To use the converter, you'll need to have your Amazon seller account connected within the settings of the Seller Assistant App.
Once that connection is made, you're good to go!
Then you can upload your first list of UPCs or EANs and start finding those corresponding ASINs.
On the screen, you'll see an "Upload" button.
Click that, and then choose the Amazon marketplace where you want to find the corresponding ASINs.
Here, you can simply paste your list of UPCs or EANs directly into the designated area.
There is a limit of 1,000 UPCs or EANs scanned at a time, so keep that in mind if you have a very large list.
Once you've copy/pasted your list, you can add a brief description for reference, like "My First UPC List" for example.
Then, just click "Upload" and the system will get to work.
The converter will automatically scan Amazon for the matching ASINs.
This process may take a few moments depending on the size of your list.
Once it's finished, you'll be able to download a report with the results.
Let's take a look at what that report looks like!
In this report, you can see the ASINs listed alongside the corresponding UPC, EAN, and GTIN numbers for each product.
This way, you can easily see which ASIN goes with each of your UPC or EAN codes.
This feature is a valuable tool for anyone who sells online, especially those who do online arbitrage or wholesaling.
For instance, if you practice online arbitrage, you might find products with UPC codes while browsing websites.
This converter can help you quickly find the corresponding ASIN on Amazon, allowing you to see if there's a potential selling opportunity.
Similarly, wholesalers often receive price lists from suppliers that include UPC codes.
This converter can help you efficiently match those UPC codes to their corresponding ASINs on Amazon.
This way, you can quickly get a better understanding of the products you're considering selling.
It's important to note that the converter is currently in beta testing.
This means it's still under development and we're actively working to make it even better.
We encourage you to try it out and share your feedback with us!
We value your input and it will help us shape this tool into something even more useful for the online selling community.
Vova: That's a very handy tool, Oleg!
For anyone interested, click the button below.
It will take you to the Seller Assistant App website, where you can sign up for a free trial and use my discount code to save some money!
And, like we mentioned, there's also a potential future feature for ASIN conversion.
This means that down the line, you might be able to take specific ASINs and get the corresponding UPCs – the ones that directly relate to those ASINs.
That would be a great time-saver!
You're currently working on adding it in the future, right?
Oleg: Exactly!
I'm glad you find the converter useful.
By the way, speaking of future features, I have more exciting news to share.
The ASIN to UPC converter is actually right around the corner!
We're aiming to launch it next week, so you won't have to wait much longer.
This means that when you decide to give the converter a try, you'll be able to use both features – UPC/EAN to ASIN and ASIN to UPC – all within the same tool.
That will give you even more flexibility when you're working with product codes on Amazon.
Vova: Awesome news, Oleg!
That means by the time this article is released, the ASIN to UPC converter should be up and running!
This two-way functionality will make the converter an even more powerful tool for Amazon sellers.
Oleg, thanks again for joining us today and sharing your insights about this helpful converter tool.
It's clear that you're dedicated to creating resources that make life easier for Amazon sellers, and we really appreciate that.
Oleg: Thanks a lot, Vova! It was a pleasure being here. Take care everyone!
