Here are the Common Characteristics of Exceptional Students

Vova: Hi Tin. So, you mentioned that you also run a YouTube automation business, which is another venture you're involved in, along with coaching people who want to start their own agencies.

Among your clients, especially the ones who are really successful, have you noticed any common traits or qualities that set them apart?

Some people come to you and do really well, while others might not see the same success.

Obviously, as a coach, you play a big role in guiding them, but in the end, it’s really up to them to put in the work.

You can offer your best advice, but it’s the individuals who need to take action and apply it.

For instance, you mentioned a client who’s now earning around 5 to 7 thousand dollars.

What do you think made him stand out?

What qualities or actions do you think helped him achieve that level of success?

Tin: The client I mentioned earlier joined our program a couple of months ago.

Before that, he already had a good understanding of what needed to be done but was struggling to find clients and wasn’t seeing the kind of cash flow he wanted.

Things just weren’t coming together for him financially.

When I think about the people who join our coaching program, some of them already know exactly what steps to take.

What they’re really looking for is guidance, someone to support them along the way.

They don’t necessarily need the full course we offer; they just want the coaching aspect.

And they’re more than willing to pay for that kind of support because it helps them move forward.

However, as our client was struggling with cash flow, he chose to really dive into our course.

Since we provide full-time support, including 24/7 access on WhatsApp, he was able to ask any question that came to mind at any time.

We also do weekly calls to stay connected and help out.

It was all very helpful for him, but what really set him apart from others who weren’t seeing as much success is his consistency.

Every single day, he’s learning something new and asking questions, even if it’s something basic.

We encourage that because, honestly, there’s no such thing as a stupid question.

I remember when I was starting out, I had plenty of beginner-level questions myself.

Vova: Yeah, that's completely normal.

Tin: Exactly. It's totally normal.

For example, someone might ask, “What should I put in the subject line of an email?”

That might seem obvious to one person, but to someone else, it’s not so clear, right?

So, I’d say one of the key traits that really helps people succeed is being coachable.

A lot of people struggle with that, sometimes because their ego gets in the way.

I remember we had a student who let his ego take over at first.

Eventually, though, he realized that he was wrong and started being more open to learning from us.

I think this happens sometimes, especially because I’m younger, and maybe a student is in their 30s or older.

But if they can put their ego aside, I can teach them something valuable.

I call these people "egoless" because they’re willing to learn without letting pride stop them.

I think the main takeaway is, don’t let your ego get in the way, and just be open to learning.

If you’re coachable, you’ll do well not only in our coaching program but also in life.

This mindset can really help you succeed in whatever you choose to do.

Conclusion

In the end, what Tin shared really highlights the importance of staying humble and being open to learning.

Whether you're starting a business or growing your skills, having the right mindset can make all the difference.

It's not just about getting advice but being willing to take it and work with it.

The people who find success, in coaching or in life, are often the ones who put their ego aside and focus on consistent learning and improvement.

That's something we can all apply to our own journeys, no matter what path we’re on.
