If you want to pull Amazon data into Google Sheets with Hopted, the first step is getting the browser extension installed and connected to the right spreadsheet.

Hopted connects Amazon Seller Central, Vendor Central, and Amazon Ads data with Google Sheets, so this setup matters if your team already uses spreadsheets for reporting, PPC, inventory, or operations.

The process is not complicated.

You install the extension, open Google Sheets, sign in, and give Hopted access to the specific spreadsheet you want to use.

Installing the Browser Extension

Start by going to the Hopted website and choosing the option to try or add Hopted.

From there, you will be sent to the browser extension page.

Install the extension the same way you would install any other trusted browser add-on.

The extension is mainly shown through the Chrome Web Store, and it may also work with Chromium-based browsers such as Microsoft Edge.

If you use another browser, check Hopted’s current installation page first because browser support can change.

Once the extension is installed, you can move into Google Sheets and start connecting the workspace where your Amazon data will appear.

Initializing the Google Sheets Workspace

After the extension is ready, open the Google Sheet you want to use for your Amazon reporting.

This can be a brand-new sheet or an existing operations workbook.

If you already have tabs for inventory, PPC, orders, or finance, you can use that structure and connect Hopted around it.

Open Google SheetsChoose Your WorkbookSign InName the Sheet Clearly

Look for the Hopted control area inside the sheet.

When you click it, you may be asked to sign in with your Google account so Hopted can connect to the spreadsheet environment.

It is also a good idea to name the spreadsheet clearly before you connect anything.

A name like “Amazon PPC Reporting,” “Inventory Dashboard,” or “Amazon Sales Sync” will be easier to manage later than a generic untitled file.

Configuring Single-Spreadsheet Security Permissions

The important setup detail is permission control.

Instead of thinking about Hopted as a tool that should access your whole Google Drive, set it up for the specific spreadsheet you want to use.

That keeps the connection focused on the file where your Amazon data needs to go.

Copy Service EmailOpen Share SettingsAdd as EditorFinish the Connection

During setup, Hopted may show a unique service email address.

Copy that email, open the Share button in the top-right corner of your Google Sheet, and add the service email as an editor for that spreadsheet.

This works much like sharing a spreadsheet with a teammate.

You are giving editor access to the sheet that Hopted needs to update, not giving blanket access to every file in your Drive.

After that permission is set, return to Hopted and continue the setup flow.

Once the connection is active, you can start choosing which Amazon reports or data tables should sync into the sheet.

Final Setup Check

Before you rely on the sheet, test the connection with one simple report first.

Confirm that the right data appears in the right tab, check the refresh behavior, and make sure your formulas or dashboards still work after the sync.

Once that first report works, you can add more Amazon data sources and build the rest of your spreadsheet workflow around clean, refreshed data.
