Yes?

But are you sure about it?

Read and discover! 😉

Hey there, pals!

I hope you're doing great. :)

Today, I wanted to ask you this kind of Amazon-ish question and challenge you to reevaluate your Amazon PPC strategies.

Now, your answer might be: yes, of course.

Mine is working the best.

I'm totally crushing my competition.

It's pretty good!

Or, maybe you're like no, my Amazon PPC kind of sucks, and my competition is crushing me!

Well, I can feel that.

Sometimes, you are not even sure how you are standing against your competition, and you want to know how to improve your PPC in order to get more sales and all the good stuff.

Therefore, today, I wanted to share a tool with you that is commonly called the Sellics Benchmarker but is now marketed under the name Perpetua which since is a new name, I'll use Sellics and Perpetua Benchmarker to help you understand better.

This tool can actually help you understand how your PPC is standing against your competition so you can hopefully improve it and get more sales and get the kind of life you want or whatever your purpose is for being on Amazon.

In this article, I am going to tell you how this works.

I'm going to do a little review of this tool so that you have all the prior information to make the most out of it.

Sellics Benchmarker is completely free to use.

You can click on the button below to access the landing page of this tool.

It's gonna be an affiliate link, which means if you use that to create your FREE account, I’ll get a little commission for it without costing you anything.

This will be your way of supporting the free Amazon FBA content that I create for sellers.

My name is Vova Even, and I'm a seller on Amazon who has been selling there since late 2016.

On my Amazon FBA blog, as well as on my YouTube channel and free Udemy courses, I share different educational and informative content related to Amazon, which has gotten a huge response from the sellers' fraternity all over the world!

So, let’s get started now!

P.S. - Don’t feel like reading today? No problem.

You can watch my video tutorial of Sellics Benchmarker right here:

How To Get A FREE Amazon PPC Audit Using Sellics Benchmarker?

First of all, to get things started on Sellics Benchmarker, you will need to create an account.

Don’t worry, you can create it for free.

Open the landing page of the tool by clicking here.

On the landing page, click on the Get Started button, and it will ask you to provide your email.

It will send a confirmation email, and after the confirmation, you will be led to a simple form where you will provide your basic contact information.

After that, click on the Create Account button, and your FREE Sellics Benchmarker account will be ready to use.

Once you get your account ready, you will have to connect your Amazon account with your Sellics Benchmarker account so that the tool can track your PPC spending.

When you open the tool, you will see the current stats of your business on the main screen, while other options will be on the left side of your screen.

The first option that you can explore is the summary.

Summary

By the way, before I explain the Summary, let me tell you that Sellics Benchmarker is in beta for now, so hopefully, more exciting things are coming this year.

By clicking summary, you will see your business name and its marketplace, along with the main category or industry.

You can also see the important numbers like the date range, ad spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, and ad sales.

Pretty impressive, huh?

But wait till you see the next part where it gets cooler!

When you scroll down a little,  you will get your ad spend distribution in a graphic format.

The tool pulls data from your specific seller account so that it can see where you are standing against the competition.

The tool has been stored with substantial data and manages almost $2.5 billion in revenue, and analyzes over 170,000 products, which is no small feat.

So what does it show in the graphs?

It shows you the ad spend distribution of you and your competition and tells you the difference between both.

It separately shows you the percentage of sponsored brands and sponsored products for your ad distribution and category benchmark, which may be your competition.

Through this graphic information, you can see if you are doing better, and, if not, where you can do better to beat your competition.

What’s more, if you scroll down a little more, you have more Key Performance Indicators in the sponsored products section.

First of all, it will tell you the over-sponsored products score based on several factors.

If your performance is good and needs improvement, it will let you know that too.

Sellics Benchmarker Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Here are the Sellics Benchmarker Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) you need to know to measure the success of your Amazon business.

By keeping track of these metrics, you can gain valuable insights into your business's strengths and areas for improvement.

Ready to dive in? Let's goooo!

Advertising Cost Of Sale (ACOS)

In the KPIs, the first one is the Advertising Cost of Sale (ACoS) for your account, which in the above pic is 25.26%.

We can say it’s fine, 3 out of 5.

Also, the cat benchmark means the competition is slightly behind the seller here, so you also have to make sure that it stays this way with you as well.

That's pretty cool here for people who are not PPC savages is more in-depth analysis.

When you click the plus sign in front of every KPI, it will seem something like this:

It will show you how you are standing against the industry/your competitors and what you can do to improve the score.

As you can see, there is a clickable link available for that.

If you click on it, it will lead you to a lot of tutorials where you can learn how to optimize bids and much more about ACOS.

That’s why, if you are someone who doesn’t really know what ACOS is ACoS, I will recommend you to check out these tutorials.

The grade is simply the stars it gives you out of five based on your performance.

I wouldn’t say three stars are bad stars, but I think sellers should aim for more.

Cost Per Click (CPC)

The next one is Cost Per Click (CPC) which stands at 1.58 for the seller and 0.87 for the category benchmark in the screenshot that I have shared above.

Now, if your Cost Per Click is above your competition, it definitely should be a cause of concern because you are overpaying for the cost per click for various reasons.

Again, if you are new and not sure how to improve your CPC, you can click the plus sign and take some tutorials to learn important stuff about CPC.

For those who want to know what should be their Cost Per Click, here is a little guide for you:

Click-Through Rate (CTR)

The next KPI that we have here is Click-Through Rate, which is 1.44 for a seller against his competition which has got 0.65.

It is safe to say that the seller is totally crushing the CTR here.

The tutorials are also available to learn more about Click-Through Rate (CTR), and you can find them in a similar fashion we have discussed above for other KPIs.

Conversion Rate (CVR)

The Conversion Rate again is also really nice here because it's almost double that of your category/competition.

The CVR considers many things that sellers usually ignore.

These things include a well-furnished listing, an interesting main image, an eye-catching title, and a good number of reviews.

Let’s now see what other options are available in the Sellics Benchmarker!

Sponsored Display

Sponsored Display is going to be available soon on Sellics Benchmarker.

Essentially, it is for retargeting ads.

I am pretty excited about it, so let’s see when they launch it.

There is another feature that Sellics Benchmarker is introducing soon, and that is Trend Analysis.

I have used many other trend analysis tools, so I am keenly waiting to see how this one is.

Product Analysis

Product Analysis is not so different from the sponsored products section as this feature also shows you the KPIs.

However, this one shows you the KPIs for individual products as opposed to the latter, which shows the KPIs of your overall business performance.

The product analysis table includes all of your products set in a hierarchical way based on their performance.

Here’s a glimpse of how it will look like:

So basically, it tells you how much exactly you are investing in ad spend and ad sales, along with showing you the number of orders.

You can see these details on the right side of the table.

In the middle, the KPIs are presented in numbers but elaborated in colors.

The green means everything is going well, while the red means things should need to improve in that particular area.

Orange is an indicator that things are good, but the status can change any minute, so improvement is necessary.

Before going further, I wanted to remind you that Sellics Benchmarker is offering a FREE trial, so hurry up and get yourself registered without paying anything.

I have shared the link above, but if you need any kind of help, I’ll be happy to do so.

Coming back to the topic, many people ask me what they should sell on Amazon.

Well, here’s an example for them.

Look at the first product in the table that I have shared above.

It is a Nicholas Cage-printed pillow, and it has the most successful key performance indicators!

Hence, I suggest the possibilities are limitless, but you have to conduct thorough research to know what is actually sellable to people.

Even I’m surprised to see this pillow having many sales, but the truth is, on Amazon or anywhere in the business, your ideas, and your thinking doesn’t matter.

It is the customer that matters, and you definitely have to take that into consideration.

If you look closely at the table, you will see the toilet light motion detector, which hails from the pet supplies, dog carriers, and travel category has a higher ACoS of 46 than the normal, which is 20.43.

This means the product is not doing well at all.

It will only cause damage to the business rather than profit if required measures are not taken.

So, you see, even the products that are generally considered in high demand also suffer on Amazon.

My point is, a seller should research well because researching now is way better than regretting later.

In my opinion, Sellics Benchmarker can be a trusted partner for an Amazon seller.

If you are selling and have confidence that you’re doing great in your PPC and other aspects, I would recommend you install this tool and run a FREE test to see if your claim is true or not.

Even if you do badly at PPC, you can still utilize this tool because besides showing you bad numbers, it will also suggest ways to improve them on Amazon.

For example, if the tool shows that your CTR on your ads is not good, you can try playing with the main picture; make it colorful and shiny like Nicholas Cage printed pillow with a red dog.

You can improve your listing as well to make your CTR better.

But whatever it is that needs improvement, you can only know after using Sellics Benchmarker and running tests in it.

So what is there to wait for?

Go to the link above, create your FREE account, and start improving your PPC today!

Having said that, I would like to take my leave now.

I hope you will enjoy your Amazon journey, and I also hope that the FREE content I share on this blog as well as on my YouTube channel and Udemy, will really help you become a proactive and successful Amazon seller.

I’ll see you in my next article!

Yours,
