Vova: Hey everyone, welcome back!
Today, we have a special guest with us – Carrie Miller from the Helium 10 team.
She's got some amazing insights to share about selling on Walmart.
So, Carrie, why should our viewers consider selling on Walmart?
Carrie: Hey, Vova! Thanks for having me.
Absolutely, there are some great reasons to consider Walmart.
First off, they get a whopping 120 million unique visitors every month.
120 million is still a huge number!
And guess what?
Many of these visitors might be loyal Walmart customers who don't usually shop on Amazon.
So, that's a fantastic opportunity to expand your customer reach and boost your sales.
Vova: Wow, that's impressive! But how about the competition?
Amazon has about 2.5 million sellers, and Walmart?
Carrie: Well, you'll be happy to hear that Walmart has just over 100,000 sellers.
Quite a difference, right?
So, with way less competition, you'll have a better chance to shine on the platform.
Vova: That sounds promising! But wait, I've already got products on Amazon.
Can I just move them over to Walmart?
Carrie: Absolutely! You're already one step ahead.
If you're selling on Amazon, you can easily move your existing products to Walmart.
No need to create everything from scratch. I did the same thing with my products, and it worked like a charm.
Vova: Nice! So, you're saying even if I had a product on Amazon that didn't perform as well as I'd hoped, there's hope for it on Walmart?
Carrie: Absolutely! Let me tell you my story.
I had this product on Amazon that wasn't doing so hot.
The competition and expenses were overwhelming.
But when I moved it to Walmart, magic happened!
Sales started picking up organically, without any pay-per-click (PPC) ads.
And then, when I did try some ads, the results were amazing.
Plus, it's way more cost-effective.
Vova: That's incredible! I can see why it's a great opportunity.
But hey, Carrie, is it difficult to create content for Walmart listings?
Carrie: Not at all! You're already skilled at creating fantastic content for Amazon, and Walmart loves high-quality content too.
They even have a listing quality score to measure it.
Sure, there are a few differences in structure, but it's easy to learn and adapt.
So, Amazon sellers like you have a definite advantage here.
Vova: That's a relief! And I heard you can bring over your Shopify reviews to Walmart.
Carrie: You heard right! If you have a Shopify site and reviews there, you can easily syndicate those reviews to Walmart.
I did it with my Shopify reviews, and it gave my Walmart listing a real boost.
Vova: Wow, Carrie, this all sounds fantastic!
Getting those reviews from my Shopify site onto Walmart seems like a game-changer.
But I heard it takes a few weeks to get things rolling.
Should we be patient?
Carrie: Absolutely, Vova! Patience is the key here.
It may take a few weeks for the review syndication process to get going, but trust me, it's worth the wait.
Walmart might be a little backed up, but once it's up and running, those reviews will give your listing a real boost.
Vova: That's good to know! And speaking of Walmart's services, it sounds a lot like Amazon FBA, right?
Carrie: You hit the nail on the head! It's quite similar.
Walmart offers a fulfillment service just like Fulfillment By Amazon.
You can send your products to their fulfillment centers, and they'll take care of the rest.
So it's super convenient and makes things a lot easier for sellers.
Vova: That's awesome! So, if I'm already selling on Amazon, I can easily start selling on Walmart too, right?
Carrie: Absolutely! If you're already an Amazon seller, you've got a head start.
You already have your products and listings set up.
But even if you're new to selling and want to start on Walmart, it's a fantastic opportunity.
With way fewer sellers compared to Amazon, you have a much better chance to shine and reach customers.
Vova: Definitely! The numbers don't lie, and Walmart's user base is impressive.
I never knew they had 120 million unique visitors every month!
Carrie: Right, it's pretty amazing!
Walmart might not have as many visitors as Amazon, but it's still a significant number.
And the best part is, they're growing and have the resources to back it up.
Vova: Exactly!
And let's talk more about reviews.
How does the whole process of review syndication work?
Carrie: It's actually quite simple. You apply for review syndication through Walmart, and the good news is, it's free!
Some other companies might offer similar services, but they charge for it.
So I recommend going directly through Walmart.
Once you get accepted, you'll upload a spreadsheet with your Shopify reviews to Walmart, and they'll take care of the rest.
Easy peasy!
Vova: That sounds super convenient! Having some reviews to start with definitely gives a boost.
And even if a product doesn't have reviews, it's interesting to hear that it can still sell on Walmart.
Carrie: Absolutely! While reviews do help with conversion, it's not the be-all and end-all on Walmart like it often is on Amazon.
Of course, having reviews is beneficial, but you can still make sales even without them.
Walmart's platform seems to be more forgiving in that sense.
Vova: That's fascinating! It's great to know that reviews play a role, but it's not a roadblock to starting out on Walmart.
Thanks for sharing all these valuable insights, Carrie!
Carrie: You're welcome, Vova!
It's been a pleasure sharing all this information with your audience.
Selling on Walmart can be a game-changer, and I hope everyone finds success with it.
