Is Jungle Scout Amazon Keyword Rank Tracker One of the Most Advanced Tools for Amazon Sellers?

Hi there!

Jungle Scout has produced some of the most helpful tools for Amazon sellers up until now, and today I’m going to introduce you to one of them.

The Jungle Scout Rank Tracker is a delicately created tracker that aids sellers in grasping the history of product keywords.

In this article, I will review every part of this tracker and provide you with my first impression of this tool.

I'm Vova Even, by the way, and since 2016, I've been selling on Amazon.

I'm still in the thick of it!

After two years of entering the Amazon FBA space and establishing a successful business, I decided to share all the methods and tools that worked for me with aspirants and seasoned sellers.

Hence, I created a YouTube channel and over 17+ free Udemy courses where I now have many subscribers and students respectively. You can also visit these platforms if you are hungry for success as a seller!

Let’s now start our today’s review without any further ado!

If you want to watch the video that summarizes the tutorial, you can find it below, my guest is Ed from Jungle Scout:

Amazon Keyword Rank Tracker Tutorial

As I put it earlier, the primary function of the Rank Tracker is to track keyword rankings on Amazon.

You can do so for your products, and also for the products of your competitors.

To start using it, you will need to first sign up for Jungle Scout.

You can do so by clicking here.

This link shows all the different plans of Jungle Scout.

If you need help in picking a Jungle Scout plan, my blog post here will help you in a step-by-step and detailed manner.

Jungle Scout has various reasonably priced plans from which you can select one that suits you the most.

The software company Jungle Scout has also got some discount offers for you which you can directly access by visiting the links above.

Or just tap on the picture to get the best ones.

After you are done with signing up for Jungle Scout, you can select Keyword Rank Tracker from the left side menu.

There will be a key icon, hovering your arrow which will open a new set of tools to select from.

Select the Rank Tracker from there, and the tool’s dashboard will open.

It is here that you can add or search for the products whose keywords you are seeking.

You can add any product you want to dive into its keywords.

Do so by clicking the ‘Add Product’ button in the Product Information section.

Once you click it, you can add any product you want to track.

After the product is finally added, you can find it on the dashboard with important details present on its right side.

To start with, you can see the total number of keywords currently being tracked by the tool.

I am attaching a screenshot below to help you visualize what I am talking about:

The screenshot above shows that the product I have added in my Rank Tracker has 86 keywords.

The unique thing about this tracker is that it categorizes keywords based on their search volume and shows you which keywords are helping a product get ranked in the top 10 and 50 organic search results.

The tracker showed me that a total of 33 keywords are making way for my product directly into top 10 organic results.

Similarly, it has got impressive keywords (56) that ensure the product’s place in the top 50 search results.

Besides that, the tracker also shows the user product reviews, Listing Quality Score (LQS), Best Seller Rank (BSR), and the date product was added to the Amazon marketplace.

After a little overview, let’s dive deeper into it!

In order to do so, you can click on the product.

It will open a different page with a graph in the center and keywords on the left side.

These keywords are the ones the tracker has extracted from your added product.

The graph, on the other hand, shows the keywords' performance for the last two months.

You can customize the timeline as per your wish.

For example, if you would rather watch a keyword’s performance for the last month, you can simply select a particular timeline from the top right corner.

Moreover, you can also customize the graph.

Generally, the graph represents the performance of all the keywords simultaneously, making it a bit tough to distinguish which keyword has the highest ranking.

That is why, if you prefer to see only one keyword’s history at a time, the tracker allows you to do so by simply selecting it.

Once you click the keyword, the graph will change to only one line, showing you the ranking history of your selected keyword.

As a seller, you would be familiar with organic and sponsored products and their different keyword strategies.

The good thing is, the Jungle Scout Keyword Ranking Tracker allows you to select any of these options to get specified results.

Below the graph, the View Annotation option lets you add some notes regarding any developments you want to remember.

You can record keyword performance weekly and see how it fares and whether you would continue with it or replace it with someone better.

It has got some cool features, right? But wait till you hear this!

Jungle Scout Keyword Rank Tracker Table

The rank tracker table lies just below the graph.

It is designed to give you a comprehensive view of the keywords’ performance.

You can find all the keywords tracked by this tool here along with more details.

Perhaps this screenshot will help you better understand the table:

So, what’s going on here? Let me explain!

Moving from left to right, we have the exact search volume of each keyword.

You can take notes from here if you are into Amazon keyword research.

These results are reliable, and you can bookmark some keyword ideas for yourself as well.

Next, we have an Organic Rank/Page which tells you the place and page of the product.

For example, the first keyword on this table, chef knife, has a 1/1 score in this column, meaning it has a first place on the very first page.

The Sponsored Rank, though empty here, will show you the keyword rank in the advertised product.

If we were to use PPC (pay-per-click) ads for this product and a given keyword, we’d see it here as well.

Moving forward, we have ‘In Listing’ which tells us how much of the keyword phrase is in the listing.

For example, if the status is partial, it means only the part of the keyword is in the listing, but if there is a tick mark, it means the entire keyword (in an exact form) is part of the listing.

Moreover, there is also a column that lets us know if the keyword is easy to rank.

You can see some keywords have got ‘difficult’ status in the column which means these keywords might be tough to rank.

PPC Bid shows you the estimated bid rate for an exact match PPC ad for the tracked keyword.

The last column highlights the last time when the tracker analyzed a keyword’s position.

The Takeaway

As sellers, we all need to stay vigilant about business-related issues and we need to keep growing while earning substantially.

While other matters are also essential to look into, the keyword strategies should be revisited daily to ensure we keep up with the trends.

Looking into the keywords’ daily performance will apprise us of our keywords' validity and effectiveness; this way, we will also know which keywords are no longer usable.

Or which keywords have dropped in rank.

Against this backdrop, tools such as Jungle Scout Keyword Tracker have been doing wonderful work by empowering sellers to keep a close watch on their keywords.

This Keyword Tracker by Jungle Scout, in particular, has enormously eased and automated the whole process of keyword performance analysis to a level that even new sellers can easily conduct such analysis all by themselves.
