Thinking about signing up for Sellerboard but not sure what to expect?
I’ve been using Sellerboard myself for years, and I know that getting your account set up can feel like a little hurdle.
The good news is, it’s actually a smooth process if you know what to do.
In this guide, I’ll walk you through Sellerboard signup, share what happens after you create an account, and give you a few best practices so you can get started with confidence.
👉 Before we dive in, here’s something that might help: I’ve partnered with Sellerboard to give you an extended free trial (2 months instead of the regular 1 month).
You can try it risk-free here:
And if you prefer a visual walkthrough, I had Jenny Adams from Sellerboard on my YouTube channel for a complete A-to-Z tutorial of Sellerboard.
We covered everything step by step:

Why Sellerboard Requires a Signup in the First Place
Sellerboard is designed to pull real data directly from your Amazon Seller Central account.
To make that possible, you need to connect your Amazon account during signup.
This ensures your numbers such as the profit, PPC costs, refunds, inventory, etc. are accurate and updated in real time.
It might sound like a lot, but Sellerboard is built with Amazon’s API, so it’s secure and straightforward.

Step-by-Step: How to Sign Up for Sellerboard
Here’s what the Sellerboard signup process looks like:
Go to the Sellerboard signup page. Click on the “Start Free Trial” button. If you want the extended free trial I mentioned earlier, make sure you use this button:
Create your Sellerboard account. Enter your email and set up a password. You’ll get a confirmation email right away.
Connect your Amazon Seller Central. This step is key. Sellerboard will guide you through authorizing their software to pull your sales and cost data. Without this, you won’t see any real numbers inside your dashboard.
Customize your settings. You can add expenses like software subscriptions, virtual assistants, or even packaging costs so Sellerboard shows a more accurate profit picture.
Start exploring your dashboard. Once your Amazon data syncs (usually within 12–24 hours), you’ll be able to see profit calculations, PPC reports, inventory alerts, and more.
That’s it! Your Sellerboard signup is complete.
What Happens After Signup?
Most sellers immediately head to the Profit Dashboard, which is Sellerboard’s main feature.
It shows you:
Real-time profit and loss
PPC spend versus sales
Refunds and reimbursements
SKU-level breakdown of costs
This is where you’ll likely spend most of your time, especially in the beginning.
Common Questions About Sellerboard Signup
1. Do I need to enter credit card details for the trial?
No, Sellerboard does not ask for payment info upfront. With the 2-month extended trial, you’ll have plenty of time to test it before making a decision.
2. Can I cancel before the trial ends?
Absolutely. If you decide Sellerboard isn’t for you, just cancel in your account settings before your trial expires.
3. Is my data safe when connecting to Amazon?
Yes. Sellerboard uses Amazon’s official API, which is the secure way software companies integrate with Seller Central.
4. Is Sellerboard accurate right after signup?
That’s a good question. Since Sellerboard relies on Amazon syncing, it usually takes a day for your historical data to fully load. After that, the numbers are reliable.
If accuracy is your top concern, I actually wrote about it in detail here: Is Sellerboard accurate? My honest review and real numbers.
