Is There Enough of a Market to Make Selling on Amazon Worth It?

Are you curious about starting an Amazon business but unsure if there's any real potential or if it's too saturated?

Well, buckle up!

Because in this blog, we'll dive into the world of Amazon and explore whether it's still worth starting an Amazon business or not.

The popularity of Amazon FBA has skyrocketed over the years, and it's no secret why.

With millions of customers shopping on Amazon every day, it's a vast platform for businesses to reach a wider audience and grow their brand. But with popularity comes saturation, so is Amazon's FBA business still worth a shot?

Let's find out.

By the way, my name is Vova Even, Amazon seller since 2016.

Welcome to my Amazon FBA blog!

Psst… Not a reading enthusiast?

Here's a video version of this article with my guest who is interested in selling on Amazon, Lucia Cracogna.

From my YouTube channel. Have fun watching. :)

The Popularity of Amazon FBA and its Growth Over the Years

Amazon FBA has grown dramatically over the past few years. In fact, it’s now a multi-billion dollar business.

With Amazon being the largest online shop in the US, it’s no wonder why so many people are eager to start their own Amazon FBA business.

Here's a statistic for Amazon FBA from Google Trends, worldwide.

However, as the business grows, it also becomes increasingly saturated. And that’s where the question of potential comes in.

Changes in Amazon FBA

Yes, there have been some changes in the Amazon FBA business, and these changes have caused some concern among business owners.

  1. For one, the saturation of the business has caused competition to be fiercer than ever.

  2. Additionally, the increase in logistics expenses is also a factor that needs to be considered.

  3. And let’s not forget about the changes on the Amazon platform, which can make things difficult for business owners who are not up to date on the latest changes.

But despite all these changes, Amazon still remains the largest online retailer in the US. And that’s something to take into consideration.

Different Types of Business Models on Amazon FBA

There are several different types of business models that can be followed when starting an Amazon FBA business. Here's an example:

There’s the private label model, which involves selling products under your own brand name.

Then there’s the online arbitrage model, which involves buying products from other online stores and selling them on Amazon.

There’s also the retail arbitrage model, which involves buying products from physical stores and selling them on Amazon.

And last but not least, there’s the wholesale model, which involves buying products in bulk from suppliers and selling them on Amazon.

How Do I start an Amazon FBA business?

To start an Amazon FBA business, it's crucial to first learn the business model you want to pursue.

There are plenty of resources available, such as my free YouTube videos and courses, to help you understand the ins and outs of Amazon FBA.

I'd also like to recommend the Freedom Ticket course by Kevin King from Helium 10.

As well as the Freedom Builder Bootcamp course by Greg Mercer from Jungle Scout.

These are for private label, since I am a private label seller.

Once you've got a handle on the model, it's time to create a product that solves problems for a specific market.

This is where the real magic happens. By finding a niche and creating a product that fills a need in that market, you have the potential to rank your product and start making sales.

Niches on Amazon FBA

When it comes to Amazon FBA, niches are everything.

To stand out from the competition, it's essential to deepen your niche and find lesser-known products that haven't been saturated yet.

For example, if your niche is BBQ-related products, you could delve into the sub-niche of BBQ-Grills and even more into grill cleaning products.

By focusing on a specific sub-niche, you have a higher potential to survive in this competitive marketplace.

However, it's important to remember that starting an Amazon FBA business requires investment.

So, don't expect to see profits right away. Try to live in reality, as it will keep you consistent and eventually take you toward success.

Improved knowledge and Resources for Selling on Amazon FBA

With the right knowledge and resources, you can improve your chances of success on Amazon FBA.

Adding videos to your listings, having a better understanding of selling products, and knowing the demand and competition in your market are all critical factors in growing your business on Amazon FBA.

Room for Growth in eCommerce

eCommerce is only scratching the surface.

Whether you're launching a new brand or looking to expand an existing business, the eCommerce sector offers plenty of opportunities for those who are willing to invest time and effort into their product and marketing strategies.

Currently, only a fraction of all product sales are online, leaving a lot of room for growth.

This presents a massive opportunity for everyone in the market, including Amazon FBA businesses.

When launching a product, it's important to think ahead and consider the future potential for growth in eCommerce.

By doing so, you can ensure that you are on the right path and get yourself ready for any upcoming challenge.

As more and more people shift towards online shopping, businesses have a unique opportunity to tap into this growing market.

Entrepreneurs who are looking forward to and researching their products carefully can find untapped niches that offer plenty of potential for growth and success.

Final Verdicts

In conclusion, the eCommerce industry has a lot of potential for growth and success in the future.

Currently, only a fraction of sales are made online, but with the rise of technology and the convenience it offers, it is expected to grow significantly in the coming years.

This presents an opportunity for everyone in the market, from small businesses to large corporations.

It is important to think ahead when launching a product, taking into consideration the target market, competition, and the need for a strong online presence.

As for Amazon FBA businesses, the opportunity is still very much there.

With the right strategy and a focus on customer satisfaction, businesses can continue to thrive and grow in the eCommerce market.

Last year, my Amazon FBA business saw a significant increase in profits and revenues, and I am confident that this trend will continue in the future.

In summary, the eCommerce industry is a rapidly growing market with immense potential for growth and success.

With careful planning and a focus on customer satisfaction, businesses can reap the benefits and continue to thrive in this competitive market.

Well, I guess I'll have to leave you till the next update, and wish you adieu for now. Have a good day and we'll chat soon!

Vova :)
