Helium 10 Courses Review: Freedom Ticket, Ads & Exit Ticket

The quick answer
What is Helium 10 Keyword Tracker Boost?
Helium 10 Keyword Tracker monitors where an Amazon product ranks for selected keywords. Boost, also called Rocket Boost in Helium 10's current help center, increases the checking frequency for selected keywords from daily rank tracking to hourly updates for up to 10 days. It helps you observe fast ranking changes during launches, PPC adjustments, listing edits, promotions, and other short-term tests. Boost measures rank more frequently; it does not improve rank by itself.
Daily keyword tracking is useful for understanding long-term Amazon SEO movement, but sometimes a single daily reading hides what is happening between checks. A product can move several positions during a launch, an advertising push, or a pricing change before settling somewhere else by the next day.
That is where Keyword Tracker Boost becomes useful. In the video below, I show the feature as part of a Helium 10 walkthrough with Carrie Miller. The interface and limits have changed since the original recording, so this article keeps the core idea from the video while using the current Rocket Boost terminology and official guidance.

Current update: older explanations may mention an eight-day Boost period or old fixed limits. Helium 10's current help center says an active Boost gives hourly updates for up to 10 days. Its current Boost guidance also says the feature is available to Diamond+ users, so check the allowance displayed in your account before planning a launch around it.
How does Rocket Boost work in Keyword Tracker?
Start by adding the product and the keywords you genuinely care about to Keyword Tracker. Use the correct ASIN and Amazon marketplace, because keyword rank is marketplace-specific. Once the product is tracked, expand its keyword details and use the rocket icon beside a keyword to activate Boost.
1. Add the right ASIN
Track the product or variation that matches the ranking question you want to investigate.
2. Add focused keywords
Choose phrases that affect real sales, launch, SEO, or advertising decisions instead of filling the tracker with unrelated terms.
3. Activate the rocket
Turn on Boost before the event you want to measure so you have a cleaner before-and-after record.
| Tracking mode | Rank checking | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| Normal Keyword Tracker | Keyword rank is generally checked daily. | Ongoing SEO monitoring and long-term trends. |
| Rocket Boost | Hourly for the active Boost period. | Launches, PPC changes, listing tests, promotions, and short investigations. |
You can also add notes to preserve context. If you changed a bid at 10:00 a.m., adjusted a coupon at noon, or updated your title in the afternoon, recording those events makes the ranking graph much easier to interpret later.

When is hourly keyword tracking actually useful?
Boost is most valuable when you have a specific event to measure. If nothing meaningful is changing, daily data is usually easier to read and less likely to tempt you into reacting to normal Amazon fluctuations.
Product launch
Boost a small set of primary launch keywords and compare ranking movement with orders, conversion, PPC spend, price, and inventory.
PPC adjustment
Use hourly data around a meaningful bid, budget, or placement change, then compare it with Amazon Ads delivery and conversion.
Listing change
Track the keywords most connected to a title, bullet, image, price, or coupon change instead of boosting every term in the account.
Page-one movement
If an important term has just entered or left page one, hourly checks can show whether the change is stable or only a temporary swing.
My preference is to Boost keywords that can change a real decision. A chart is only useful if you know what you will do with the result. For broader keyword discovery before tracking, use Cerebro first, then move the strongest relevant terms into Keyword Tracker.
If you are still building the keyword list, my Amazon keyword search volume guide explains how to evaluate demand before deciding which phrases deserve closer monitoring.
Keyword Tracker vs Cerebro: discovery and monitoring are different jobs
Cerebro and Keyword Tracker can both show keyword information, but I use them for different stages of the process. Cerebro is primarily a discovery tool: enter a relevant ASIN and investigate the search terms connected with that product or its competitors. Keyword Tracker is a monitoring tool: choose the terms that matter and watch how your own product performs for them over time.
Use Cerebro to build the shortlist
Find relevant competitor keywords, compare demand and ranking data, and remove phrases that do not actually describe your product.
Use Keyword Tracker to measure the outcome
Track the selected terms after launch or optimization, then use Boost only when hourly detail can help explain a short-term change.
This separation keeps the dashboard useful. Tracking hundreds of loosely related terms can make important movement harder to notice. A smaller list of commercially relevant keywords gives you cleaner trend data and makes your limited Boost capacity more valuable.
How should you read hourly rank changes?
Amazon search results are dynamic. Rank can change because of location, time, inventory, advertising auctions, competitor activity, customer behavior, and Amazon's own testing. One hourly movement is not proof that your last edit caused the change.
| Pattern | What it may mean | What to check next |
|---|---|---|
| Small movement inside a narrow range | Normal intraday variation may be occurring. | Watch the trend across several hours or days. |
| Sponsored rank disappears | The ad may not have served during that check. | Review budget, bids, targeting, schedule, and delivery in Amazon Ads. |
| Organic rank rises after a campaign | Sales, conversion, demand, or other signals may be helping. | Check whether the gain remains after the campaign slows. |
| Broad sudden decline | Inventory, indexing, listing, price, competition, or demand may have changed. | Audit the listing and business data before changing strategy. |
Organic and sponsored rank are different. A product can have strong ad placement while its organic position is weak, or rank organically while no sponsored result appears. Read both alongside sales, sessions, conversion, PPC, price, and inventory.
Ready to test the workflow?
Start with Helium 10, then upgrade only if the limits fit your work
Use the free account to learn the platform. If you need Diamond+ access for Rocket Boost or broader limits, compare VOVA6M20 and VOVA10 and verify the accepted offer before paying.
Start with Helium 10 ↗Avoid the most common Boost mistakes
Do not treat Boost as a ranking tool, do not react to one hourly movement, and do not change price, PPC, listing copy, coupon, and images all at once if you are trying to understand cause and effect. Also confirm the ASIN, variation, marketplace, and keyword before starting. If the setup is wrong, a beautifully detailed hourly graph is still measuring the wrong question.
Helium 10 Keyword Tracker Boost FAQs
Does Rocket Boost improve my Amazon keyword ranking?
No. Boost changes how frequently Helium 10 measures the keyword rank. It does not push the listing upward in Amazon search results.
How often does a boosted keyword update?
Current Helium 10 documentation says boosted keywords receive hourly rank updates, giving you up to 24 checks per day.
How long does one Boost last?
The current help center says Boost runs for up to 10 days. Check the countdown beside the active rocket in your account.
Why does my manual Amazon search show a different rank?
Amazon results can vary by location, device, delivery address, account history, time, inventory, and advertising. Use Keyword Tracker as a consistent trend monitor instead of expecting it to reproduce every shopper's screen.
What happens if I delete a tracked keyword?
Helium 10 warns that deleting a product or keyword also deletes its tracking data. Export important history before removing terms you may want to analyze later.
Use hourly data to answer a real question
Keyword Tracker Boost is most useful when daily rank data is not detailed enough for the decision in front of you. Choose a small group of important terms, activate Boost before the event, add notes, and compare the ranking chart with the business metrics that explain what actually happened.
The goal is not to watch rank change every hour. The goal is to understand whether a launch, advertising change, listing update, or promotion created a result worth keeping.
