Want to know how some Amazon products take off so quickly after launch?
You're in the right place.
In my latest YouTube video, I talked with Isaac Gross from IG PPC about one of the most powerful, but often overlooked, ways to do it: using a customer email list to help launch your products and boost sales.
If you’ve sold products before, you might already have something very valuable: past buyers who know your brand and trust what you sell.
These people are much more likely to be interested in your next product.
We discussed how you can reach those customers with clear announcements, special offers, and discounts.
This can help your product get seen and sold more.
We also covered how to build a good email list in the first place while still following Amazon’s rules, and how to mix this with:
PPC ads
Vine reviews
Brand Referral Bonus links
In this article, you’ll see our full conversation and pick up tips you can start using in your next product launch.
____________
How to Boost Your Amazon Launch with Customer Email Lists
Vova: Isaac, hey! Let’s dive into the value of customer email lists and how special offers can help sellers boost their product launches and sales on Amazon.
Here’s the idea: if you already have a customer list; maybe from your first product, or perhaps it’s your second product and you’ve started gathering email addresses from buyers; you can absolutely use that to your advantage.
You can reach out to those customers again with a friendly message announcing your new product.
Along with the announcement, include a direct link to your Amazon listing and maybe offer a discount or a special promotion.
Even if they don’t end up making a purchase right away, that engagement still sends useful activity data and signals to Amazon.
Isaac: Exactly! This can help improve your product’s visibility in search results.

Why Targeting the Right Audience Matters
Vova: However, to make it work effectively, it’s important to target the right audience.
If you blast this offer to a completely unrelated email list (people who have no interest in your type of product) it could actually hurt your metrics.
For example, imagine you sell barbecue accessories.
You’ve already sold a grill cleaning product in the past, and now you’re launching a slightly different version; maybe a new type of grill cleaner or a similar tool.
If you send the announcement to your existing customers, you can be confident they’ll likely have some interest.
They’ve purchased from you before, they already trust your brand, and they’re in the right niche.
Even if those customers don’t purchase this time, they’re still genuine Amazon shoppers.
Some might click through to your listing, browse other products, or even buy something else from your catalog.
That activity still generates valuable data for Amazon, which can positively influence how your product ranks.
How to Make Email Campaigns Even More Rewarding
Isaac: Is there any way we can take this to the next level, like really push it forward and leave no corner untouched?
Vova: Sure, yes! You can make this strategy even more rewarding by using Amazon Attribution links or other special tracking URLs.
These links not only let you measure results more accurately but can also qualify you for Amazon’s Brand Referral Bonus.
That means if someone from your email list makes a purchase through your link, Amazon can give you a small percentage back as an extra reward.
In your emails, you could also offer a modest discount (like 10% off) and then, once the purchase is complete, use Amazon’s own “Request a Review” button to ask for feedback.
Alternatively, you can use the 'Review Request' feature within Sellerboard software. Sellerboard is a tool for profit analytics for Amazon sellers, you can use it for free for 2 wholemonths, no credit card required! Use the button below.
Now, back to our topic!
As long as your request is neutral (not incentivized), you’ll stay compliant with Amazon’s policies.
And because these customers have already bought from you before, the likelihood of them leaving a review might be a bit higher.
Also, make sure that you choose the right products to launch because a bad product with a good strategy can do more harm than good.
When your marketing outperforms your product, you simply bring customers' attention to its flaws.
Over time, this creates trust issues that are hard to recover from.

What Makes a Strong Amazon Launch Strategy
Vova: Building and leveraging your customer list isn’t just a good idea, it’s a long-term growth strategy.
For our current launch, we’re doing exactly that:
Reaching out to past buyers,
Offering something relevant, and
Keeping the communication genuine.
We’re also making sure the products we launch are closely related to each other, variations or complementary items, so customers feel a natural connection between what they bought before and what we’re offering now.
This is similar to the approach with programs like Amazon Vine, where reviews and credibility can grow faster for products in the same niche.
===
Want to take this strategy a step further? Consider bundling related items. My guide Discover How to Craft Profitable Bundles on Amazon Like a Pro shows you how to create bundles that add value and appeal to your existing customers.
===
Besides this, there’s one more thing to highlight: pay-per-click (PPC) advertising.
During the early days of a launch, running PPC campaigns a bit more aggressively can help generate traction.
Combine that with Vine reviews, outreach to your customer list, and strategic discounts, and you’re stacking multiple growth levers together.
That’s really the core of a strong product launch strategy; getting the right people to see your product quickly, collecting those early reviews, and sending the right signals to Amazon that your listing deserves to be seen.
Isaac: Yeah, that’s a great approach, and it really ties in with the core elements of a successful launch.
How to Build a High-Quality Amazon Email List
Isaac: Coming back to the email list topic, I find this really intriguing.
How do you build a high-quality list because Amazon doesn’t give access to customer emails?
What steps do you follow?
Do you use insert cards with a warranty offer or something else to encourage sign-ups?
Vova: Exactly! Warranty is the main method we use.
I always recommend that viewers and readers check Amazon’s guidelines before doing anything like this, because it’s one of those areas where you want to be sure you’re following the rules.
===
Before you use warranty inserts or other incentives to collect emails, make sure you’re fully compliant with Amazon’s rules. Learn more here: Why You Should Review Amazon Restricted Products Policy
===
If you set up a legitimate product warranty, it’s perfectly reasonable for customers to register for it.
And how else would they register, you wonder.
Well, you’d need their email address.
Once they provide it, you can send them a warranty certificate (something nicely designed, maybe even on a branded digital canvas) so they feel they’re getting real value from the process.
From there, you’ve started building your list.
Now, this is getting a bit deeper into tactics, but here’s where it gets interesting: once someone joins your list, you can set up an automated email sequence.
Each email in the sequence can highlight a different product you sell, introduce them to other parts of your brand, or even share useful resources you’ve created.
If you have a blog, a YouTube channel, or educational videos, you can mix those into the sequence as well.
That way, your customers aren’t just hearing from you when you have something to sell; they’re also engaging with valuable, relevant content that strengthens your brand relationship over time.
Isaac: That’s such a reliable and well-structured process. Really impressive!

Final Thoughts
Using a customer email list for Amazon launches is more than just a marketing trick; it’s a smart, sustainable growth approach.
By targeting relevant past buyers with genuine offers, you can increase click-through rates, drive early sales, and feed Amazon’s algorithm with positive signals that help your listing climb in search rankings.
When combined with complementary products, thoughtful follow-up emails, and strategic PPC campaigns, this method can help you build momentum faster and keep it going.
The key lies in building that list the right way, staying compliant with Amazon’s policies, and offering value in every interaction.
