Today we’re doing an overview of Helium 10 - what it really is, who it benefits, what it does, and what’s new.

At the highest level, Helium 10 is a software suite built for e-commerce sellers. It’s widely known as an Amazon seller toolset, but it also supports sellers working on Walmart and TikTok Shop - and it even has workflows for Amazon influencers.

I’ve personally been a Helium 10 user since 2017, and an affiliate since around 2018. Over the years I’ve created a lot of Helium 10 content, and there have been updates and new additions.

So for this overview, we have Shivali Patel from the Helium 10 team to help us map the platform in a practical way.

I also welcome you to get the best current deal on Helium 10, I always keep it updated via my link. I also have discount codes like VOVA10 (10% off recurring) or VOVA6M20 (20% off for 6 months) for you to save big.

If you use my link or button and ever do business with Helium 10, I earn a small commission - no extra cost to you - and it helps keep my content free.

We also have a detailed video, on which this blog post was based, check it out!

Meet Shivali Patel - why her perspective matters

In this video, I’m joined by Shivali Patel, a Senior Brand Evangelist at Helium 10.

What that means in plain English: she teaches people how Helium 10 works, how to use the tools, and how to get results without feeling overwhelmed.

She’s also an Amazon seller herself - selling both digital and physical products - which matters, because it means she’s speaking from real seller experience, not just “tool theory.”

And she set the tone perfectly: this is a high-level overview. Helium 10 has a lot inside, and the goal here is not to go deep into every feature - it’s to help you understand:

  • What’s inside the suite

  • How to navigate it

  • Which tools match which business objectives

  • What’s changed recently

  • How to think about using it going into the new year

The “suite” breakdown - what Helium 10 actually helps you do

Shivali described Helium 10 as a suite of tools for Amazon, TikTok, and Walmart sellers - and the simplest way to understand the suite is to map it to the actual seller journey.

Here’s the journey Helium 10 covers, end-to-end:

Education for beginners (and refreshers for experienced sellers)

Even on the lower-tier plans, you get access to training resources - including a full course that teaches both:

  • The Amazon selling journey (from start to scale, and even exit)

  • How to actually use Helium 10 tools along the way

If you’re a beginner, this matters because it reduces the “random Udemy course + random tools + random advice” problem. Helium 10 offers the Freedom Ticket course by Kevin King, for free with it's plans.

If you’re already selling, it still matters because Amazon changes constantly - and refreshing fundamentals is never a bad ROI.

Product research

This is where you’re trying to answer: “What should I sell, and does it have real potential?”

Tools like Black Box are designed for discovery, filtering, and shortlisting product opportunities.

Keyword research

This is where you answer: “What do customers type to find products like mine?”

Shivali specifically referenced using tools like Cerebro and Magnet to build keyword lists, save them into folders, and use them as the foundation for listing creation.

Listing creation and listing optimization

Once you have keywords, you need to build a listing that can compete.

That includes:

  • Structuring the listing based on keyword intelligence

  • Comparing your listing against competitors

  • Making sure you’re targeting the right terms, in the right places

Shivali referenced a flow where you gather keyword data, save it, then move into listing building so you can stack your listing next to competitors and improve it. Listing Builder tool by Helium 10 can help you here.

Keyword tracking and ranking visibility

After you publish or optimize, the next question is: “Am I actually ranking?”

That’s where the Keyword Tracker comes in - monitoring positions so you can see whether your work is paying off.

Analytics, market visibility, and PPC control

If you’re established, you start caring less about “how to launch” and more about:

  • Market position vs competitors

  • Share of voice

  • Search query performance data (especially for brand registered sellers)

  • PPC automation rules to reduce wasted spend

  • Account audits to find where money leaks are happening

Shivali gave a clean example: if you have wasted ad spend (like 20 clicks and no sales), you want rules-based automations and audits so you stop bleeding.

Refund recovery (money Amazon might owe you)

This part is underrated until you see the numbers. Shivali mentioned managed refund services - because Amazon can lose or damage inventory, and sellers sometimes recover significant money.

She even shared that some sellers told her they effectively “paid for” their Helium 10 subscription through refunds they recovered.

What changed - Classic View vs Solutions View (and how to navigate faster)

One of the most practical updates Shivali highlighted is the dashboard navigation.

Inside Helium 10, you can now choose between:

  • Classic View - everything listed at a glance

  • Solutions View - tools grouped by objective (find products, optimize listings, etc.)

This sounds small, but it’s huge for speed.

Because the real problem most sellers have isn’t “Helium 10 lacks features” - it’s “I don’t know where to start.”

Shivali’s advice was simple and correct:

  1. Identify your primary objective right now

  2. Go to the tool that solves that objective

  3. Use the built-in training videos (usually short, around 5-7 minutes)

  4. Implement one thing, not twenty

Example objectives she gave:

  • “Find products to sell” - go to Black Box

  • “Validate product ideas” - use a launch validation workflow (she described a tool that lets you input competitors, keywords, differentiation factors, suppliers, etc. to get a holistic picture)

  • “Build or optimize a listing” - use Cerebro/Magnet first, then listing building

  • “Track rankings” - use keyword tracker

  • “Understand market position” - use share of voice / market tracker

  • “Fix PPC waste” - use rules-based automation and account audit

Also important: some tools show small icons (Walmart or TikTok Shop) so you instantly know what’s available cross-platform.

Expansion beyond Amazon - TikTok Shop migration, profitability, SKU sync, safety stock, and influencer outreach

If you’re an Amazon seller, the biggest strategic question heading into the new year is often:

“How do I avoid having all eggs in one basket?”

Shivali outlined a path for Amazon sellers to explore TikTok Shop without reinventing their entire business.

Step 1: Use the Chrome extension for quick profitability testing

She specifically referenced the Helium 10 Chrome extension, where you can open a product and run profitability calculations - and then switch to a TikTok Shop tab.

The key point: TikTok economics differ.

  • Instead of FBA fees, you look at affiliate commission rates

  • You model ad costs, duties/tariffs, and see if margins make sense

This lets you test viability before doing heavy lifting.

Step 2: If it makes sense, migrate listings with Listing Converter

Once the economics work, you can:

  • Open TikTok Shop Seller Center (the “Seller Central equivalent” for TikTok Shop)

  • Use listing converter to migrate listings

  • Choose fulfillment settings (FBA or FBM) depending on the setup

Step 3: SKU mapping + inventory sync + safety stock

This was one of the most actionable parts of Shivali’s overview.

The idea is:

  • Map SKUs so TikTok orders sync back to your Amazon inventory

  • Pull from your existing stock (so you’re not duplicating inventory immediately)

  • Set safety stock so if something goes viral (best case scenario), you don’t wipe out your Amazon inventory and kill your main channel

Step 4: Influencer operations at scale (beyond platform limits)

Shivali described how she uses influencer workflows in her own brands:

  • Create persona-based invitations (customer “buckets”)

  • Generate messaging (even with ChatGPT)

  • Use Influencer Messenger to send outreach at higher volume than TikTok’s native limits

  • Use Influencer Finder to discover creators and then plug them into automated invites

  • Automate sample workflows if you want fulfillment to run with less manual work

She also emphasized something many Amazon sellers miss:
Influencer Finder can be used for Amazon too - not only TikTok Shop.

So even if you’re not moving to TikTok yet, you can still find Amazon influencers and generate content assets that can help your Amazon listings.

Pricing plans (Platinum vs Diamond) - how to choose without overthinking

On the pricing page, Helium 10 typically shows two core plans:

  • Platinum

  • Diamond

You can usually toggle monthly vs yearly.

The best way Shivali framed it:

  • All plans give access to the suite, but at different levels (limits, usage caps, scale)

  • If you’re serious and doing a lot of product/keyword research (Black Box, Cerebro, Magnet), Platinum is a good fit because you get more capacity and flexibility

She also made a point I agree with from years of seeing sellers struggle:

Doing everything manually looks “cheap” until you count the time, mistakes, and missed opportunities.

If you view Helium 10 as an investment that helps you make better product decisions, better listings, and better PPC control, it can pay dividends.

I’m not here to hard pitch you either - I want you to understand what’s inside, and then choose what matches your stage.

New year playbook - quick wins with Cerebro trends, CPR, title density, and seasonality

To wrap the overview, I asked Shivali what she’d recommend going into the new year - for both beginners and active sellers.

Her answer focused on “getting ahead” with keyword intelligence and seasonality.

Use historical trends to prepare for spikes before they happen

Inside Cerebro, she described a workflow where you:

  • Input competitors (or your own ASIN if launched)

  • Pull keywords

  • Look at historical trend data

Why this matters:

You can identify keywords that were strong last year in certain months (December, summer, Valentine’s Day, etc.) and get ahead of those spikes earlier in the year.

Compare months to see what changed

Shivali described comparing up to three months and using presets like:

  • Keywords present in Month 1 but not Month 2

  • Keywords present in Month 2 but not Month 1

This helps you decide:

  • Which terms deserve exact match focus

  • Which terms might be fading

  • Where competitors gained visibility that you didn’t

Use CPR to estimate ranking effort (8-day logic)

This part was very tactical.

Shivali explained CPR as:

How many sales you need over 8 days to rank on the top half of page one for a keyword.

So if CPR is 8:

  • You aim for 1 unit per day for 8 days

If CPR is 24:

  • You aim for 3 units per day for 8 days

She also noted the nuance:
Sometimes you rank faster (2-3 days), but the 8-day window is about sustainability.

Use title density to find easier wins

Title density tells you how many products on page one have the keyword phrase in the title.

Lower title density often means easier opportunity:
If only 1 product on page one includes the keyword in the title, you may be able to rank faster by optimizing properly.

Don’t overwhelm yourself - implement one thing at a time

This was her final operational advice, and it’s gold:

Pick one objective.
Watch the short training video inside the tool.
Implement one improvement.
Then repeat.

That’s how you avoid the “I bought the software but never used it” trap.

Final thoughts

If you’ve been wondering what Helium 10 really is, here’s the clean conclusion:

It’s not “one tool.”

It’s a full e-commerce operating system - product research, keyword research, listing creation, ranking visibility, analytics, PPC automation, refund recovery, and cross-platform expansion (including TikTok Shop workflows and influencer systems).

Beginners get a structured learning path plus tools.

Experienced sellers get speed, visibility, and automation.

And sellers who want to diversify can explore TikTok Shop without starting from zero.

If you want to go deeper, there are two easy paths:

  • Helium 10’s YouTube channel for official tutorials

  • My Helium 10 playlist (I’ve built one with a lot of tutorials over the years - and you can search within the playlist to find exactly what you need, like Black Box, the Chrome extension, etc.)

And as always, my link in the description includes the best current Helium 10 deal and discount codes.

Wishing you a strong year - full of prosperity, progress, and good news.

P.S. - If you get stuck, don’t forget the “small train

ing” buttons inside tools (the short 5-7 minute walkthroughs) and Helium 10 support - sometimes one quick answer saves you hours.

P.S.S. - I also invite you to watch through my playlist of Helium 10 tutorials on YouTube, has over 200+ videos! Enjoy!
